“Headed by two directors, Sarah Featherstone and Jeremy Young, the practice was established in 2002 and has delivered a considerable number of high quality buildings with the help of their talented team. Featherstone Young’s work has been widely acknowledged as critical and inspiring – reflected in considerable client satisfaction, numerous awards, exhibitions and extensive media coverage.

Sarah has designed projects in the housing, community, cultural, education and commercial sectors.  In 2008 she was awarded The Atkins Inspire Outstanding Achiever in Architecture in recognition of her contribution to both practice and education. She studied architecture at Kingston University, The Architectural Association and the Bartlett, UCL. Sarah teaches at Central St Martins and has been a visiting critic at various UK architecture schools. Sarah was one of the youngest members first recruited to the CABE National Design Review Panel and has been an External Examiner at a number of Universities including her current post at Oxford Brookes. She was a RIBA President's Research Awards Assessor for 4 years and a RIBA Awards Judge and is currently a Civic Trust Award assessor and on the Islington Design Review panel.

Jeremy studied architecture at the University of Cambridge. Prior to joining the practice, Jeremy worked as an Associate for seven years at Allford Hall Monaghan Morris, where amongst other projects he was a project architect for the award-winning new build public realm improvement works for the Barbican Arts Centre and The Unity Building, Liverpool. He has a wide-ranging experience of complex project types including large-scale housing, commercial and public realm.” Featherstone Young
